• Eggstravaganza: Easter Fayre & Egg Hunt
@ Cats Protection – Bridgend Adoption Centre, Green Acres, Pant Hirwaun, Bryncethin, Bridgend. An Easter themed event for all the family. As well as viewing the lovely cats in our care there will be an Easter Egg Hunt, raffle, tombola, bric-a-brac, home baked cake stand, refreshments, children’s colouring corner and much more. 10.30am–3.30 am. £1 adults, 50p children, under 3s free

• Charity Band Night III
A charity event in aid of Logan Evans-Padden and the Firefighters Charity at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl. This is the third year that the event has been held, and so far nearly £4000 has been raised for local good causes. On the night, entertainment will be provided by five local bands: Chaser, Harman Band, Lady and the Tramps and Killin Mary. • Birdwatching for beginners workshop
@ Kenfig Nature Reserve, 9.30am–3.30pm. The day will consist of an informal introductory lecture by Adrian and Graham followed by the workshops first birdwatching session, identifying birds of woodland and open freshwater. This will lead to a short lunch break before setting off on an exciting visit to the coast. The day will end back in the Centre for a recap and questions.
